Brief Resumé

Eric Pels graduated in economics at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in 1994. In 2000 he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, entitled "Airport economics and policy: efficiency, competition, and interaction with airlines", at the VU University. From 2000-2006 he worked as a Post-doc at the Vrije Universiteit, department of Spatial Economics. His post-doc research focused on applications of meta-analysis and the modeling of networks and competition between rail and other modes. He also supervised Ph.D.-students and was active in various consulting projects. He currently holds a position as an assistant professor at the same department, and teaches various courses at the bachelors and masters level. His research focuses on the development of transport networks, pricing transport networks, and pricing of infrastructure.
