Harold Houba is associate professor of Economic Theory with teaching experience on several topics in Economic Theory such as Auction Theory, Bargaining Theory, Game Theory, Microeconomics and Industrial Organization. Since Spring 2009, he also teaches Behavioral Economics and Neuroeconomics. His major research interest is bargaining theory with applications to environmental economics, labour economics and the theory of contracts.

 

Harold Houba defended his PhD. Thesis at the University of Tilburg in 1994. The foreign guest member of the defence committee was Prof.Dr. E.S. Maskin (Nobel laureate in Economics 2007).

Game Theoretic Models of Bargaining, defended at the University of Tilburg in 1994. Supervisors were Prof.Dr. Aart de Zeeuw and Prof.dr.ir. Gerard van der Laan.
